Who are we?
TrackdayPPF was founded by track enthusiasts who love going to the track, whether an autocross, drift, or circuit, going all out! And still want the car to look as good as the day we bought it. Think about it, we upgrade our engines, brakes, and tires – some of us have race bucket seats, roll cages etc. – all while never giving a second thought to the care of our car’s paint. Yet it’s arguably the thing most people look at when they look at your car.
We’re here to help, by providing an alternative to the high cost of professionally installed PPF. Our goal is to provide your car’s protection! By providing you with the same access professionals have to software and materials, you too can protect your car.
Here are a few reasons why you should get PPF
Paint Protection film should be considered like brake pads, a consumable. As track guys, we know brake pads “normally” last thousands of miles, yet in reality, on the track, they may not even last 1000 miles. Same thing with PPF. Depending on track conditions, how close you run with competitors, and how often plays a huge part in determining how long it lasts.
Scratch and Chip Resistance
PPF acts as a barrier against minor scratches, rock chips, and other small abrasions that can occur from road debris. This helps maintain the car’s paint finish, keeping it looking new longer.
UV Protection
The film protects your car’s paint from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, which can cause fading and oxidation over time. This helps in preserving the vibrant color of your vehicle.
Self-Healing Properties
PPFs have self-healing properties. Minor scratches and swirls can disappear with exposure to heat, such as sunlight or warm water, keeping the film looking smooth and clear.
Chemical Resistance
PPF provides a protective layer against acidic contaminants like bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap, and road salts. These substances can etch and damage the paint if left untreated.
Enhanced Gloss and Appearance
PPF can enhance the shine and gloss of your car’s paint, giving it a more polished and well-maintained appearance.
Ease of Cleaning
The smooth surface of the PPF makes it easier to clean off dirt and grime. Water and contaminants bead off more easily, reducing the effort required to wash your car.
Cost-Effective in the Long Run
While the initial investment in PPF can be high, it can save you money in the long run by reducing the need for paint correction, touch-ups, or full repaints due to damage.
Customizable Coverage
You can choose to protect high-impact areas like the front bumper, hood, side mirrors, and door edges, or opt for full-car coverage, depending on your needs and budget.
Invisible Protection
PPF is virtually invisible when applied correctly, preserving the original look of your vehicle without altering its appearance.
